TV on. Phone in hand. Here’s how to get everyone playing—and make something of your own.
Get KITCHEN COURT01 / GET CONNECTED
One TV. A controller
in every pocket.
- Install KITCHEN COURT on the Mac. Get KITCHEN COURT for an Apple Silicon Mac with macOS 15 or later, plugged into the TV, and run the installer. The installer sets up the house. No setup window, no account, no code.
- Scan the TV. KITCHEN COURT comes up on the TV with a square. Scan it with your phone, type a name, and you’re in. No app to install. The phone needs to be on the same Wi‑Fi as the Mac.
- Let everyone join. Each person scans the same square with their own phone.
- Make your phone the owner. Tap your initial in the top-right corner, then Make this phone an owner, and type the six digits the TV shows. Owners change settings and decide what the house keeps. A player seat alone doesn’t.
Getting online, to play from away, use phone microphones and cameras, and share what you make, opens soon. Everything in the room works without it. If a friend’s KITCHEN COURT is already online, they can send you an invitation, and its setup code goes on the owner’s phone under Settings → Get this house online.

02 / CHOOSE YOUR NIGHT
Something for
the whole room.
Open the Play tab on your phone. Pick a game and press Play, then follow its controls to join, ready up or start. Check the player count: solo and multiplayer availability vary by game.
Play
Everyone uses their own phone. The game supplies the controls, whether you’re steering, voting or building together.
Watch & listen
Choose a film, song or playlist in the Play tab. Remote, on the Now tab, pauses and changes the volume. Home brings you back to the room.

03 / MAKE SOMETHING
Your idea.
Your next obsession.
Open the KITCHEN COURT tab on your phone and describe what you want. Tell it the number of players, the mood, and what would make it fun.

Let the creation finish, try it, and ask for changes. When a review is offered, the owner can choose Keep. Creating and refining something takes time.
Making needs Claude, Codex or Grok installed and signed in on the Mac. Everyone who joins from a phone or talks to the room uses that account, so give KITCHEN COURT its own Mac or its own macOS login. KITCHEN COURT doesn’t supply a model. Games, films, songs and phone controls work without one.
04 / BRING FRIENDS
Share the moment.
Or the thing you made.
Find Share on a game, or Invite on the Room tab. Choose a private friends audience for a private session.
- Play together
- Invite to play gives your friend controls in the live game. The game still needs to support the number of players you want.
- Watch together
- Invite to watch shares the picture. Watching doesn’t give someone a player seat.
- Keep a creation
- A published creation can be obtained and reviewed on another KITCHEN COURT. Keeping a copy is different from joining the same live match.
Share links can expire or be used up. Ask the host for a fresh link if needed. Public room broadcasting is a separate choice.

My phone won’t join
Return the TV to Home and scan its current code. Use the browser page the code opens and follow its join instructions.
The game has no controls for me
Check the game’s player count and look for its Join or Ready action on your phone. If the controls still don’t respond, tell us the game name and what you pressed.
I need to change a connection or setting
Settings are on an owner’s phone: tap your initial, then Settings. Not an owner yet? Tap your initial, then Make this phone an owner, and type the six digits the TV shows. An owner can also let your phone in from theirs.

On your phone, tap your initial, then Help & feedback, or use the form below. Tell us what you tried and what happened. Include the game and devices involved, and follow the form’s choices for diagnostic sharing.
